In September 1997, three months after their infant son, Hunter was diagnosed with a fatal, genetic disease called Krabbe Leukodystrophy, Jim and Jill established the Hunter’s Hope Foundation. As Chairman of the Board of Hunter’s Hope, Jill helps advocate for children with leukodystrophies through raising awareness and research funds. She also provides comfort, encouragement, and hope to families devastated by these horrific diseases.

Jill and Jim have shared their story all over the world and have appeared nationally in many print publications including Readers’s Digest, People Magazine, and USA Today and on numerous television shows like Fox & Friends, Hannity, Good Morning America, The Today Show, The 700 Club, Oprah, ESPN, and many others.

For over a decade, because of her passion, authenticity, and deep desire to share her faith, Jill has been invited to speak at numerous events across the country including the Women of Joy tour. To date, Jill has authored thirteen books including a five book collaboration with both of her daughters titled Hot Chocolate with God,  and a New York Times Best Seller titled Kelly Tough as well as Prayer and Planning for The Big Day with her daughter Erin. Through deeply personal journal entries, she has written, Prayers for Those Who Grieve and Prayers of Hope for the Brokenhearted, where she shares her most intimate struggles through the loss of her son, Hunter, and the heartbreak and hope God provided along her path to restoration and healing. Jill’s memoir and New York Times Best Seller Without a Word, How a Boy’s Unspoken Love Changed Everything, shares the story of her son, Hunter and how God used his life to dramatically impact and change the entire Kelly family. Jill’s most recent book, Peace in the Face of Loss, offers hope and healing, through Scripture and stories, for anyone dealing with deep loss and devastating grief.

Jill’s love for the Word of God and the indescribable God who wrote it is contagious. Her greatest desire this side of eternity is to steward the gifts God has given her through writing, speaking, encouraging others, and bringing hope to the desperate and hurting.

Jill Kelly’s story is a testament of this truth. She shares how the suffering of her one and only son led her to the God who sacrificed His one and only Son.
