I need You, Lord.
Please help me to consider it pure joy whenever I face trials of many kinds.
Help me to know that the testing of my faith develops perseverance, a perseverance that must finish its work so that I may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
This is so hard.
The gaping hole in my heart is swallowing up all my joy.
Please move this mountain, Lord.
Snatch me from the fire of my affliction.
Turn this heap of ashes into a beauty that I have never known.
Help me.
I try to mask my pain but it continues to intrude in on my life when I least expect it.
Where is my faith?
Where is my confidence?
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve my life; You stretch out Your hand and save me.
You will not abandon me when I need You most.
I will not trust in the flesh.
My hope is not in what mortal man can do.
My hope is in You.
My life and times are hidden in the affection and love of an all-knowing, gracious, almighty God.
You sustain me.
The chaos of my life is held in Your perfect peace.
I will say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.”
For Your sake, Lord Jesus, I delight in my weaknesses…my hardships, pain, and difficulties.
For when I am weak, because of You alone I am strong.
Thank You for helping me to press on when I want to give up.
Thank You for helping me to give in to Your perfect plans in the middle of these trials.
